HQ HousePlants Calathea Rufibarba Elbergrass Velvet Affordable

Calathea rufibarba is a prayer plant, the common name for plants that tend to fold their foliage as night falls. Prayer plants include plants in the following genera: Calathea, Maranta, Stromanthe, and Ctenanthe. Calathea are grown for their beautifully ornamental leaves. Foliage is a deep green with burgundy purple undersides. This plant also has soft, fine hairs that cover both the leaves and petioles. Elger Grass has the potential to grow taller than many other Calatheas, making it the perfect Calathea for displaying as a statement piece. Calathea rufibarba has been reclassified as Goeppertia rufibarba. The Velvet Calathea (Calathea Rufibarba) is a decadent houseplant, featuring rich green leaves with vibrant patterns and a luxurious velvety texture. Perfect for indoor spaces with filtered light, this Calathea variety adds an opulent touch to your home.
